A December Beginning & The Courage to Start Before You’re Ready

It’s the week after Thanksgiving, and there’s a noticeable shift in the air — a gentle exhale after the fullness of the holiday.

The gatherings have quieted, the rhythm has softened, yet the end-of-year festivities are already looming at the edges of our calendars..

This is a liminal pocket of time — where reflection meets responsibility, where you can feel both the spaciousness of stillness and the momentum of what’s coming.

And as we step into December, the last full month of the year, the Gemini Full Supermoon arrives as a bright mirror, illuminating clarity, truth, and the beginnings quietly stirring beneath the surface.

December has always been a threshold.
But this year, it feels like an invitation.

◦ The Practice

Take a slow, grounding breath. Place a hand on your heart or belly and ask:

“What desire is rising in me right now?”
“What feels alive for me as I move through December?”
“What longing, idea, or instinct is ready for my attention?”

Don’t rush the answers.
Let them drift up in their own timing — like moonlight revealing what was already there.

This is the practice: listening to the desire before the decision.

The Fool

The Zero As A Role Model

The Fool — Dalí Tarot

Zero · Pure potential · Sacred beginning

The Fool steps into this week with unmistakable energy.

Zero isn’t emptiness — it’s pure possibility.
It’s the moment before the leap, before the identity forms, before the path is named.

The Fool reminds you:

✨ You don’t need the whole map — just the next honest step.
✨ You are allowed to explore, experiment, and shift directions.
✨ Your uniqueness is not a risk — it’s your truth.
✨ Don’t let others steer your life; trust your own instincts.

Dalí describes The Fool as the beginning of everything that makes an individual.
This card asks you to follow intuition over expectation, instinct over obligation, desire over pressure.

Under the last full moon of the year, The Fool whispers:

“You are standing at the beginning.
Start as you are.”

◦ Discovery

What I’m discovering this week is simple but profound:

Why wait until January to begin?

New beginnings don’t belong to dates on a calendar.
They belong to clarity.
To desire.
To the moment something inside you says, “I’m ready to pay attention to this.”

The energy of The Fool — zero — reminds us that beginnings are available anytime.
Even now.
Especially now.

December is not just an ending; it’s an opening.
The perfect soft runway for what wants to come alive in 2026.

◦ Invitation

As you move through this first week of December, give yourself permission to:

✨ Listen to what you truly want
✨ Let desire lead instead of deadlines
✨ Begin something small — even if it’s only a thought, a feeling, a whisper
