Love, Fear, and the Choice to Surrender
…
It’s February — the month often wrapped in ideas of romance, cards, flowers, and grand gestures.
But beneath all of that, love is something far more essential.
Love is our given state.
It isn’t earned.
It isn’t negotiated.
It’s our birthright — to feel loved, to receive love, to be love.
And yet, in a world that often feels divided and loud, fear pulls us away from that truth.
Fear is not hate — fear is the opposite of love.
Fear contracts the heart.
It builds armor and walls meant to protect us.
And the moment we armor ourselves, love can no longer reach us.
So the real question becomes:
Do I want protection… or do I want love?
Yes — love can hurt.
Yes — love makes us vulnerable.
And also… love is so powerful it moves mountains.
So maybe love isn’t weakness at all.
Maybe love is power.
You tell me.
◦ The Practice
Place one hand — or both — over your heart.
Close your eyes and take a few slow, grounding breaths.
Visualize a soft green light glowing at the center of your chest.
As you inhale, let it brighten.
As you exhale, let it expand throughout your body.
With each breath, repeat an affirmation that feels true for you.
You can say it silently or out loud.
Choose one and repeat it for 11 breaths, or let them flow naturally:
I am love. (Aham Prema)
I have the right to love and be loved.
I am worthy of love.
I am open to giving and receiving love.
My heart is open to love and compassion.
You might try pairing breath and words like this:
Inhale: I am
Exhale: love
Let this be a remembering, not an effort.

SURRENDER
Surrender — Beyond Lemuria Oracle
The guidance for this week arrives gently, but unmistakably: Surrender.
Surrender asks us to loosen our grip — not because we’re giving up, but because we’re ready to trust.
To stop forcing.
To stop pushing heavy things uphill.
To step out of our own way.
This card reminds us that when we release control, resistance dissolves.
And in that openness, life flows.
Surrender doesn’t mean abandoning direction — it means allowing intuition to lead.
It means choosing receptivity over force.
Trust over tension.
The message here is subtle and profound:
ou achieve more by trying less.
When we let ourselves be “caught” by life — by love, by timing, by grace — synchronicities unfold that no amount of planning could have created.
This is not passivity.
This is alignment.

◦ Discovery
What I’m noticing as I return to the Fearless Journal is this:
Love doesn’t require perfection — it requires presence.
And returning doesn’t require explanation — only willingness.
Fear tightens.
Surrender softens.
And softness is not weakness.
It’s the doorway through which love actually enters.
When I stop armoring myself against being hurt, I also stop blocking the very thing I’m longing for.
Love asks one brave thing of us:
to remain open anyway.
◦ Invitation
This week, notice where fear has quietly replaced love —in your body, your relationships, your inner dialogue.
Then ask yourself, gently:
“What would it feel like to surrender here?”
Not to force love.
Not to chase it.
But to allow it.
Let February be a month of remembering —
that love is not something you earn…
it’s something you return to.
And you can begin again, right here.
